Holland holds a special place in our hearts. The people, the culture, and the often unpredictable weather make it feel like our second home. In the spring of 2024, this trip was even more special as it included my mom and cousin, creating memories that would last a lifetime. In previous trips, we have stayed in Amsterdam, but this time, we wanted to explore the Dutch countryside, immersing ourselves in rural sites and charming towns and experiencing a different side of the Netherlands.
The day ended with a scenic drive to Giethoorn in the province of Overijssel, where we settled into a charming Airbnb nestled right by a canal. The peaceful atmosphere, gentle lapping of water, and the sight of small boats gliding by made it the perfect end to our first day.
